Gisele L’HEUREUX
Gisele L’Heureux (nee Chenard) of Gravelbourg, SK and formerly Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the age of 88 years. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years Lucien L’Heureux; son Gerald L’Heureux; and grandson Matthew L’Heureux. Survived by her son Paul-Emile (Eileen) L’Heureux; daughter Alice (Jean-Guy) Poissant; son Gilles (Jo-Ann) L’Heureux; daughter Annette (Dwayne) Majcher; and son François L’Heureux; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Gisele was born on February 3, 1926, in Moose Jaw, SK, to Donat and Marie Anna (nee St. Pierre) Chenard. She worked at the Foyer d’Youville and St. Joseph Hospital for 18 years, and also at the Gravelbourg high school. Gisele was a craft person, sewer and knitter, and enjoyed family life. She belonged to the Gravelbourg Church Choir for 30 years, and also the Golden Voices in Moose Jaw. Gisele spent many hours doing church work and was active in organization with the Ladies of St. Anne, the CWL, and the hospital auxiliary. Gisele was forced to retire because of ill health, but always found something to do to help her growing family, who were very dear to her heart. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Co-Cathedral, Gravelbourg, SK. Interment will take place at the Gravelbourg Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Gisele may be made to the Gravelbourg Roman Catholic Cemetery, Box 540, Gravelbourg, SK S0H 1X0.
