­STELLARTON – It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Gladys (Gladie) McIntosh.
Gladie came into this world Feb 20/1934 and went home Dec 29/2014 to be reunited with her husband Joey, infant son Stephen and all her family waiting to receive her in the house of her Lord where there will be no more suffering and pain.
Gladie was the daughter of Frances (Thibodeau) Garron and Franklyn Garron. She was one of the girls as she and her sisters were known in Yarmouth where Gladie started out along with sisters Stella (Philip Amon) and Nonie (Eddie Surette).
Gladie is survived by her daughter Darlene (Billy Fleming), son Steve and friend Dara De, great-grandchildren: Steve, Chelsea, Lenny, Danielle, Justin and Gracie, sister-in-law Jackie Garron (Joe), along with many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend, companion and dance partner Bill.
Gladie was predeceased by brothers: Joe, Vic, Ernie and Dennis (infant) Garron.
Gladie was a brave and loving person who will be deeply missed and always loved, now resting in the arms of our Lord.
Cremation has taken place with burial at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel, Stellarton.
