It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, John Charles Kendall, on Dec. 26, 2014.
Born in Sydney, John was the son of the late Olga and Arthur Kendall. John grew up in the Pier on the old Khattar block. As a young man John enjoyed fishing hunting and boxing. In recent years he enjoyed walking in town and a coffee at Tim’s. John was a clever man with a sharp sense of humour.
He is survived by three children, Kim (Jamie) Bedford, Dawn, Bedford, John (Karen) Albert Bridge; 10 grandchildren, Bridgid, Liam, Owen, Ethan, Colby, Carter, Shelby, Brian, Gavin and Faith; brothers, Jim, Gordie, Dave, Gerald and one sister, Eileen.
He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Wayne in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Monday, Jan. 5th at 11 a.m. at Chant’s Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Assoc, or Canadian Mental Health Assoc.
