VAUTOUR, DOROTHY - Mrs. Dorothy Helen (Devenny) Vautour of Quispamsis, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1st, 2015, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS on December, 21st, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Bernice (Johnson) Devenny. She was a tube skater, bowler and loved camping. One of Dorothy’s favourite places was Bridgetown Nova Scotia. Dorothy is survived by her sons; Frank (Betty), Brian (Theresa), Wayne (Stella), son-in-law Sylvain Gallant, as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John D. Vautour, August 16, 2014 and daughter Ann-Marie Gallant, December 31, 2013.
At Dorothy’s request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church at 12:00 o’clock on Monday, January 5th, 2015. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
