It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerald Rumbolt announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, Judy, his loving wife and best friend of 50 years. Son, Glen (Jacquie) and his precious grandsons, Mark and Brandon. His loyal companion Jake; four brothers, Albert (Melva), Bedford, NS, David (Donna) CBS, St. John’s, Paul (Michelle), Calgary, AB, Michael (Tena), Bakersfield, California; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joan Dicks (late Peter), Corner Brook, David “Satch” Guy (Betty), Deer Lake, Eugene “Mose” Guy (Sheila), Pynn’s Brook, Jim Guy (June), Calgary, AB, Gerry Guy (Marion), Mt. Moriah, Larry Guy (Lena), Howley, Diane Hatcher (Alex), Pynn’s Book, Wilfred Guy (Marilyn), Corner Brook, Mary Guy (late Tom), Georgetown, ON, Merla Guy (late Frank), Dryden, ON, Joan Guy (late Kevin Sr.), Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Jerome and Violet, father and mother in law, Claude and Rita; brother in law Claude Jr., brother and sister in law Clarence “Chum” and Maimie Guy. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Country Haven Funeral Chapel, with Marilyn Avery officiating. Cremation to follow, interment will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the SPCA.
