CHARLESWORTH-SMITH, Linda Ethel - 67, of Victoria Street, Pictou, passed away December 28, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Trail, British Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Herbert & Sylvia (Arthurs) Charlesworth. An avid and capable sailor, Linda loved to travel. She was also a musician and an accomplished artist, who enjoyed painting. Although new to Pictou, she loved her little home and became active in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, playing the piano and working with the children. She is survived by her husband, Victor Smith; her children, Michelle (Ben) Thiessen, Loch Broom; David (Samantha) Frisk, New Westminster, B.C.; Rebecca Charlesworth, Victoria, B.C.; her grandchildren, Sylvia, Sherrann and Shanae Thiessen; Stephen & Christina Frisk; her brother, Steven Charlesworth, Vancouver Island, B.C.; Victor’s children, Deborah (Spencer) Robinson, Vancouver Island; James (Cathy) Smith, Abbottsford, B.C.; Victor’s grandchildren, Rachael & Wyndam Robinson; Lucas & Ashley Smith; their sponsored child, Ashley, Nicaragua. She will be dearly missed by her little dogs, Rosie & Charlie. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, David & Thomas Charlesworth. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Pictou, with Jacquie Ross officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Christian Children Fund of Canada.
