It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth “Betty” Gibbons announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving husband of 47 years, Douglas; daughter Darlene Gibbons Salib (Marcos); her 2 precious grandchildren: Gabrielle and Noah; sisters: Ruby Russell (George), Dorothy Snow, Marie Brennan (Clifford), and Diane Dayman (Bill); brothers: Roy Willis Sr. (Lena) and Gilbert Willis (Carolyn); sister in law Audrey George; brothers in law: Henry Gibbons (Elizabeth) and Harold Gibbons, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Nichole; parents Roy and Ada Willis; mother and father-in- law Harold and Pearl Gibbons; brothers-in-law: Irving Gibbons and David Snow. In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes cremation has taken place. The Service of Remembrance will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., from Country Haven Funeral Chapel, 167 Country Road, with Reverend Canon Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
