It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of a loving mother and grandmother Gladys MacAulay on Jan. 5, 2015, at Seaview Manor with loving family at her side.
Born in Edmonton, Alta., she was the daughter of the late John and Harriet Page.
Gladys was employed for a short time at General Instruments, also a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 3 and the Ladies Auxiliary at the General Hospital.
She is survived by daughters, Joan Osmond (Donald McVicar), Mary Aucoin; granddaughters, Kerri (Todd) Detcheverry, Neala Osmond (Robbie Farrell) and four great-grandchildren.
Besides parents she was predeceased by husband Neil, brother John and sister Joan.
Visitation will take place on Thursday January 8, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church Brookside Street, Glace Bay with Rev. Allan MacLellan officiating.
