VALDRON, VERNE MARION - 1922 – 2015 - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Verne Marion Valdron which occurred unexpectedly at her home in Saint John, NB on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Born in Dalhousie on August 23, 1922, to the late Peter and the late Elizabeth (Doucet) Valdron. She was passionate about music and musicals. She was a member of the Catholic Community Club and the Theatre Guild of Saint John. She also sang in the chore at St. Vincent’s parish. She also enjoyed a night out with friends playing Bingo. Verne worked in Saint John until her retirement. She is survived by her sisters, Mathilda (Babe) LaPointe of Dalhousie, NB; Violet Patterson of Burlington, ON and Pearl O’Neil of Dundas, ON, as well her brother, Earl (Chum) Valdron of Dalhousie, NB and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Regis and Benoit (Nushy) Valdron.
Cremation has taken place; as per her request there will be no visitation or services. The burial will be held in the spring where she will be laid to rest with her parents and brother in Dalhousie, NB. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
