CRANDALL, DOROTHY - Dorothy Crandall, 88, of the Jordan Lifecare Centre, The Glades and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, January 8, 2015 following a long battle with Parkinson’s. Born in Mapleton, Kings Co., she was the daughter of the late Percy and Maudie (Steeves) Crandall. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of Steeves Settlement United Baptist Church. Dorothy will be sadly missed by her children, Dianna Armes (Victor), Billy Haevens (Marie), Robert Haevens (Debbie), Andrew Steeves, Betty (Dale Ward); grandchildren, Bonnie, Sheldon, Stacey, Susan, Robbie, Shannon, Ashley, Trevor and Tyler; fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Harold (Florence), Richard (Joan), Leroy (Joy); sisters, Kathleen Duffy and Addie Gaudet; sister-in-law, Alice Crandall; several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandsons, Todd Buchanan and Kevin Haevens; brother, Henry Crandall and sister, Laura Gregg.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 1:50 pm. Immediately following the visitation, a Service to Celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, New Elgin Cemetery, Elgin, in the spring.
