Doyle, Corenne Nan – 72, Salmon River

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, sister, companion, grandmother, great-grandmother on Thursday, January 8, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born July 4, 1942 in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Lambert Jr. and Edith (Stiles) MacDonald. She was a member of the Valley United Church and the Salmon River Fire Brigade Ladies Auxiliary and past president. She worked as a secretary, accounts payable for Eastern Transport, then became Terminal Manager for CN Route for several years. Before retirement she worked in Accounts Payable for Peter Kohler Windows. Corenne enjoyed her music, gardening, bowling and all animals but she especially loved her family. She will be sadly missed by her lifelong friend, Marilyn Watson and neighbor Ronda Smith. Corenne is survived by her companion of 27 years, George Faulkner; daughters, Dawn-Leigh (Michael) Doyle, Vicki Doyle; son, John (Sherry); sister, Delta-Ann (Mike) Clark; grandchildren, Cory, Lindsay, Ashley, Brittney, Benjamin, Jacob, Olivia; great grandson, Noah; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Donald “Ducky” Doyle; brothers, Wayne (in infancy), David; sister, Myrna. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses of the ICU Unit at CEHHC and a special thank you to Dr. McGibney. Visitation with Corenne’s family will be held today (January 10) from 6-8 pm; funeral service on Sunday, January 11 at 2 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with nephew, Rev. Tim MacDonald officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Estate of Corenne Doyle at either Fundy Veterinarian locations in Truro or Shubenacadie.
