MACDONALD, WILLIAM - 1923 - 2015 - William Lea “Bill” MacDonald passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, January 8, 2015. Born in Summerside, PEI, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Annie Laurie MacDonald. Bill is survived by his loving wife Denise, children; Wendy (Peter) O’Blenes, Peter (Rowena) MacDonald, Janet Hudson, grandchildren; Jennifer, Michael, Rob, Adam, Abbie, Sarah and Iain, four great grandchildren, as well as his nieces Barbara and Debbie. Bill will also be missed by Holly (Peter) Melanson, Diane, Kathy, Lori, Sandy, Mandy and Erin. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wives, Edna Steeves, and Ruth Fownes, sister Dorothy Elizabeth (Beth) and brother Blair (Buzz) (late Velma) MacDonald. Bill was a Canadian Air Force Veteran of the Second World War, he enjoyed reading, driving on long trips, going on different cruises and spending time in Florida.
A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
