Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2015, Ethel I. Wicks of Burnt Point, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Clayton; parents: Frank and Louise Milley; sisters: Myrtle Pottle and Leona Churchill; brothers: Herb and Wally. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Brenda (Don) Husk, Burnt Point and Sylvia (Garry) Smith, St. John's; five grandchildren: Jennifer, April, Wally, Krista and Corey; three great-grandchildren: Nathan, Heath and Gabriel; two brothers: Ray (Pearl) Milley, Burnt Point and Carson (Emily) Milley, Ontario; three sisters: Elsie Jones and Lillian Love, both of New Brunswick and Phyllis Ash, Carbonear; special niece: Jackie Winsor, New York; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Saturday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point.
