STOREY, BOYD GLENWOOD - 1931 - 2015 - It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Boyd Glenwood Storey, husband of Heather (MacDonald) Storey, which occurred on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home in Fredericton, NB. Born in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late Weldon and Eva (Gaston) Storey. Boyd retired as a Transport Sergeant, after 28 years of service with the Canadian Armed Forces; he also worked for Addiction Services. Boyd was a member of Atlantic Canada Korea Veterans Association and Canada Korea Veterans, the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps Association and Branch 4 Legion. In addition to his wife, Boyd is survived by his daughters, LaVerne Storey-Brewer (Malcolm) of Eastern Passage, NS, Aundria Saad (Tony) of Stoney Creek, ON and Kimberley Bye (Jerry) of Burlington, ON; sons, Dwayne Storey of Dartmouth, NS and Kevin Storey of Fredericton, NB; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Muriel Harris (James) of Doaktown, NB and Lorna Maloney of Moncton, NB; brother, Ivan Storey (Iona) of Fredericton, NB; sisters in law, Sandra Dingman, Donna Idzenga and Berta McConnachie; brother-in-law, Tom Greyson; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Boyd was predeceased by his sister, Beverley Greyson and daughter in law, Suzette Storey (Bourque).
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Boyd’s Life will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the St. John the Evangelist – Building Fund, Fredericton Food Bank or the charity of the donor’s choice.
