The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit, Community Hospital, O’Leary, on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, of Jessie Lois (Walfield) Currie, aged 56 years, beloved wife of Francis. Born in Iris on Sept. 20, 1958, daughter of Caleb and Westina (MacDonald) Walfield. Beloved mother to Martina McKay, Slemon Park; Kim Guimond, Lennox Island Stratford and Tammy (Al) Morris, Kingston and to step-daughter Shawna Ellsworth, Summerside. Dear grandmother to Mitchell, Jordan and Savannah Guimond; Tristan and Stephanie Morris; Dustin McKay, and to step-grandchildren Brody and Brendon. Jessie is also survived by mother and father-in-law Ernie (Theresa) Currie; brothers and sisters-in-law John (Cheryl) Currie, Dwayne Currie and Shelley Pineau; and by very special family friend Tammy Gallant, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Mary Waite and Margaret MacDonald. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment later in the Freeland United Church Cemetery.
