It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Walsh of Flowers Cove passed away at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 at the age of 93 years. He had been residing at the Northern Retirement Home in Port Saunders. He leaves to mourn his brother Frank Walsh and a very special cousin Mary Jane (Danney) Perry of Hawkes Bay, and a circle of other family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all his friends at the retirement home. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Bridget (nee Burke) Walsh, brothers Jerome, Joseph and John Patrick, sisters Angelia Walsh, Mary Walsh, and Elizabeth (Liv) Girard. Visitation took place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Wednesday and Thursday. The funeral service followed at Our Lady of Snow Roman Catholic Church in Flowers Cove on Friday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. Interment followed in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Flowers Cove with Father Britto presiding.
