It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Mary Pittman of Plum Point announces her sudden passing at Charles Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at the age of 70 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories five daughters Helen (Earl), Patricia (Dennis), Alice (Glen), Elaine (Sherman), and Donna (Howard); son Rock (Marie); sister Emma Hughes; brothers Edmund (Geraldine), and Adrian (Marina); grandchildren Debrah, Bobby, Jonathan, Felicia, Wendy, Kaitlyn, Gregory, Mackenzie, Robyn, Adam and Darris; great-grandchildren Isabella and Emily; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She will be forever missed by her special friend and sister-in-law Helena Pittman and her friend Isabella Kennedy. We express great gratitude to nurse Margie and Jackie Noseworthy in Flowers Cove and to nurses Paula, Jennifer, Kristen and Dr. Jamal of St. Anthony. The family accepted friends at our Lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove on Thursday and a family service was held on Thursday evening. The funeral service took place on Friday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. and interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Bird Cove with Father Raj officiating. Donations may be made to the Roman Catholic Church in Bird Cove.
