Claire Margaret Coggar, age 86, of Currys Corner, Hants Co., passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Halifax Infirmary, Q.E. II. Born on September 24, 1928, in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Norris and Annie (Sweet) Hawboldt. Claire, Harry and their son Gary, enjoyed travelling and camping in their motor home, throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. They also loved to golf at the Minas View Golf Links, Cambridge. Claire was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harry Eugene Coggar; son, Gary, Calgary, Alta.; sisters, Faye (Jack) Calder, Kentville; Kaye Hawboldt-Allen, Halifax; Patricia (Bryan) Morrison, Centreville; brothers, Laurie (Dorothy), Halifax; Garnet, Dartmouth; Ernest (Evelyn), Kentville; Andrew (Genevieve), Leduc, Alta.; Stephen (Sharon), Granville Ferry, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Claire was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Elizabeth Borden; brothers, Charles and Jack. The family would like to express a special thanks, to Dr. Bill Enright for the care, he gave to Claire over the years. A private graveside service was held 2 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2015, at Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King Street, Windsor. The Rev. Bill Gibson officiated.
