It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our dear brother, Gerard Livingstone on Sunday, Jan. 11, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Malcolm Angus 'Max' and Mary Margaret (Grant) Livingstone.
Gerard was a big fan of sports and he truly loved the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gerard excelled at playing horseshoes, softball and floor hockey. He was a gentle soul who got along with everyone.
Gerard is survived by his sister, Maxine Sweeney, St. Stephen, N.B., Elaine (Frank) Capstick, Glace Bay, Patricia 'Patsy' Joseph 'Buddy' Young, Brampton, Ont., Harriet (Jack Maxwell) Livingstone, Dartmouth; brother, Wayne (Marilyn), St. Stephen, N.B. Also surivived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Jack Sweeney.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of Curry's Glace Bay Funeral Home, 775 Main St.
