The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Sunday, January 11, 2015, of Euclide Moise Arsenault at the age of 85 years. Euclide was born in St. Raphäel on October 10, 1929, son of the late Donat and Beatrice (nee Aucoin) Arsenault. He was the beloved husband of Julia (nee Poirier) Arsenault and loving father to Léo of St. Raphäel, Marlene (Leo) Keefe of Summerside, Théresa (Robert) Cormier of Summerside, Martin (Darlene) of Bedeque, Malvina (Rick) Fundy of Summerside, Edmond (Faye) of Summerside, Norma (Ross) Jackson of Summerside, and daughter-in-law Emily Duffy Arsenault of Miscouche. Euclide was a passionate grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be forever remembered by his brothers and sisters: Clarence (Sherren) of Summerside, Wilfred (Stella) of NB, Florence (Elmer) Gallant of NB, René (Phyllis) of Ontario, Martin (Wilma) of BC, Raymond of St. Raphäel, and Louise Gallant of Wellington. Predeceased by parents, son Wilfred, children in infancy George, Gérard and Marie, sisters Anita, Josephine, brother Edward and brothers-in-law Cyr and Dolore. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Wednesday, Jan. 14, then to the Notre Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Mont Carmel, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery receiving vault. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, Jan. 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. until time of the funeral. Memorial donations made in Euclide’s memory to the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home Building Fund or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
