It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harriett Ferguson on Jan. 8, 2015, after a short illness.
Born in Sydney, May 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Christine (MacIntyre) MacDonald.
She lived in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, Quebec for the past 31 years.
Harriett worked for many years at Ferguson's Pharmacy on Kings Road and was well known there for her famous milkshakes.
In Quebec she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and various craft groups. She also did volunteer work with the school and Red Cross.
Harriett is survived by her husband of 72 years, John (Clip) Ferguson; daughter, Sandra (Armand St-Pierre); grandchildren, Tracey, John (Amy) and Patricia; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Michael, Zachary, Maxim and Danick.
She was predeceased by brothers, Alex and Angus.
Visitation and funeral service will take place on Sunday, Jan. 25 at LeSieur & Frere Chapel, St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu, with interment at Gabarus Lake at a later date.
