Jean Maxine Young - 89, of Kentville passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Wolfville Nursing Home, Wolfville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Romley and Edna (Brown) Young. Before her retirement she had been employed with Petro Canada (Superline Oils Ltd, Petrofina). She was a graduate of the former Mack Business College, where she taught before taking up her employment in Halifax. She is survived by her sister, Leona Tupper, Kentville. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, Reverend Thelma McLeod officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Family flowers only, by request. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
