It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Justine Elsbeth Haggett, age 86, beloved wife, mother and grandmother on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Northside General Hospital.
Justine was born in North Sydney, she was a member of the Salvation Army and for many years was the church organist, providing music for many services. She also volunteered with the Christmas Kettle Campaign, the Salvation Army Toy Drive and served many meals to the those in need at the Salvation Army Shelter. She loved animals, especially those in her neighborhood.
Justine is survived by her loving husband Joseph; her two daughters Heather Haggett (Bob Grouchy), Fort McMurray, Jo-Ann (Eric) MacNeil, North Sydney and son Stephen (Darlene) Haggett, Lacombe, Alberta; her five grandchildren Stephen, Kimberley, Christopher, Kayla and Andrea.
She will also be missed by her feline companion Tasha.
Sincere thank you to Dr. Charles Coish and Dr. Irina Ghenea, nursing staff on 5 east at the Northside General Hospital, also special thanks to Karen and Gary Forrest.
There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral service for Justine will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney with Major Kent Hepditch officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army of charity of choice.
