Passed peacefully, Friday, January 16, 2015, at Beach Grove Home of Ronald McInnis of Earnscliffe, age 85 years.
Beloved husband of Isabel McInnis; loving father of Phillip, Lucinda Meyers (Grant), Sharon and Anne Marie McInnis (Katherine Alexander) and daughter-in-law, Glenda McInnis; and second family of Melody Gillis (Harry MacLean) and Douglas MacKinnon (Lori). Ron will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Reghan, Jenna Baird (Adam), Connor McInnis, Taylor and Devin Meyers and Joshua Fletcher; second family grandchildren, Tommy, Brandon, Amanda, William Gillis and Randy, Lea, Gina, Mia, Jessica, Michael, Tanner and Jake MacKinnon; brother, Norbert James (Leah) and sisters, Rita McGowan, Lucinda (Dickie) Martin and Irene MacRae; and brother-in-law, Alyward Archibald.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Irene; parents, Peter and Lucinda McInnis; brother, Murtagh; sisters, Anne Archibald, Marie Quinn and Florence Rooney; sister-in-law, Shirley McInnis; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Martin, John MacRae and John McGowan.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation Tuesday, January 20, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at St. Joachim’s Church, Vernon River, at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joachim’s Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
Knights of Colombus will hold prayers at the funeral home at 4:30 p.m.
