BROWN, MARGARET - The death of Margaret “Maggie” Rose Brown of Chipman, NB occurred Sunday, January 18th, 2015 peacefully at her home in Chipman, NB. Born Saturday, May 28, 1960 in Waterborough, NB she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Marjorie (Barton) Hovey. She spent her younger years between Saint John and Waterborough, graduating from Chipman high school. Her teenage years were spent working at the Country Kitchen. She spent twenty – three years working at the Bank of Nova Scotia which were followed by several years working for L.S.W Wear Parts, then DiCarlo’s. Maggie loved to dance and travel. She loved to be around her family and friends and also thoroughly enjoyed Christmas family gatherings and the lobster do. Her cheerful smile and positive attitude will be greatly missed by friends and family alike. Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Roger Brown of Chipman and her sons, Joshua (fiancée Kayla Hyland) of Lower Sackville and Casey (fiancée Katherine Fowler) of Lincoln; a brother, John Hovey (Marilyn) of Waterborough; and sisters, Ilean Northrup (Leslie) of Hatfield Point and Ruth Saunders (Mike) of Norton, several cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many good friends. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by a brother, Emmerson Hovey.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services, Chipman Community Chapel (43 Main Street, Chipman, NB 339-5522) where the family will receive visitors Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 from the Chipman United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Chipman Community Care 93 Bridge Street, Chipman, NB E4A 1R8 or The Fredericton Homeless Shelter 65 Brunswick Street, Fredericton, NB E3B 1G5, Grace House for Woman 273 Brunswick Street, Fredericton, NB E3B 1G5 would be appreciated by the family.
