It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Lila Dolores Lynk on Jan. 20, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Alma Lynk.
Mom was a practical joker and could make anyone laugh. Anyone who knew her loved her. She always had a story to tell, and loved her dog Chloe.
Left behind to mourn Lila’s passing are her children, Jerry (Shelly) Lynk, Glace Bay, Delores Lynk, New Waterford, Eileen (Dougie) at home with Mom in Bras d’Or, Norman Lynk, Bras d’Or, Donelda (Darron) Robertson, Bras d’Or, Carmella (Dwaine) Wentzell, Bridgewater, Norma-Jean (Jason) Herridge; stepdaughter Barb (James) Proctor, Glace Bay; sisters, Delie, Tootsie, Aggie, Mary; brother Truman, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and as well, her very good friends Teen Clarke, Melvin Devoe and Ella Patrossie.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Art Clarke, grandsons, Robbie Spencer and Jeffery Hicks, stepdaughter Eva MacLennan, daughter-in-law Valerie MacNeil, sisters, Helen, Gertie brothers, Everett, Bernie, Sam, Chuck and her best friend Phyllis Fraser.
Visitation will take place at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, from 6-7:50 p.m. with a prayer service to follow at 8 p.m.
