SPECK, ELEANOR CATHERINE - The passing of Eleanor Catherine Speck of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Windsor, NS, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Watson) Robertson. Eleanor worked at Amos Grocery Store for 17 years. She attended Doaktown United Church and was a member of Marysville United Church. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Sandra Lewis of Fredericton, NB, Linda Lyons of Charters Settlement, NB and Anna MacIntosh (James) of Miramichi, NB; three step sons, Brian, Gary and Barry Speck; grandchildren, Robert Case, Stacey Dunfield, Kevin Lewis, Melanie Moore, Connie Fortin and Brent Lyons; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sister, Josephine Pineo of Wolfville, NS; brother, Donald Robertson of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Alonzo Russell; second husband, George Speck; brothers, Charlie, Jack and Hughie Robertson; sons in law, Charlie Lewis and Steven Lyons.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Marysville United Church on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 2 pm with Rev. David Brewer officiating and Rev. Kelly Burke assisting. Interment will take place in Doaktown United Church Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Marysville United Church.
