It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Donald Henry ’Buck’ Boutilier .
Donnie passed away at the Glace Bay General Hospital, surround by his loving family on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015.
Born in Glace Bay in 1936, he was the son of the late William O. and Ethel Mae (Wareham) Boutilier.
Donnie was a life time employee of Devco.
His passion was bowling, where he enjoyed socializing with all his buddies.
He also enjoyed spending time with his many grandchildren, whom were his pride and joy.
He survived by his loving wife, of 37 years Shirley (MacKay), who will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by his daughters, Brenda, Calgary, Darlene (Vic), Ont. Donelda, Wendy both of Glace Bay; sons, Roy, Donald, both of Ontario, Willie (Tasha), J.B. (Janet) and Donnie (Corrinne) all from Glace Bay; sisters, Elsie, Glace Bay, Linda, Ontario; brothers, Greggy (Donelda), Glace Bay, John ‘Bubby’, Glace Bay.
Beside his parents, he was also predeceased by sister, Lois, brothers, Allie, Sonny, Eddie and grandchildren, Tara Nicole and Donald Kirk.
Visitation for Donnie Boutilier will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at 2 p.m. with Rev.Vernon Reid officiating, burial in St Mary’s Anglican Cemetery, Glace Bay.
