With hearts full of sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Angela Teresa (Ley) MacLean who passed away Monday, 19 January, 2015 in the Waterford Heights Nursing Home.
Born March 1, 1930, in Sydney, Angela was the daughter of the late Thomas and Leoncie (Doublett) Ley.
Angela was predeceased by her husband Donald ‘Doc’, and son, William Carey.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Lynn), Shaun (Kathy), Joel (Norma); her grandchildren, Troy, Lee, Donald, Shari, William, Shaun, Sheldon, Breagh, Christopher, Sherri, Nancy, Teri-Lynne and Pamela; sister-in-law Yvonne Ley, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Susan Wall and Rita Blois; and brother, Charles Ley.
The family is eternally grateful to the wonderful staff of Waterford Heights Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015, in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., Sydney. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life reception following the service. Interment will take place in Eastmount Cemetery at a later date.
Mom’s quiet presence at family gatherings will be so missed.
