Elsie was very dedicated to her community, always helping others and her home was always open to her family and friends. She would like her family to remember her for “Loving them and believing for them when they couldn’t see their way, but knowing God was working on them.” If I could live my life over again “I would endeavour to spend more quality time with my children. I would tell them I love them more often. I would be a better help mate to Ole, he has been so special to me. I would be even more faithful to God for blessing us as we worked together as a team, singing and preaching in our churches down through the years.” Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Oland “Ole”; daughter Faith Margaret Kent-Porter (John) of Gunbarrel City, TX; sons Mark Oland Kent of Halifax, NS, Dwight Wilson Kent (Cindy) of Saint John; brother Ralph Perry of Kentville, NS; grandchildren Jensen Dwight Kent, Elise Dionne Kent, Eliahs Kent, Shiloh Kent, Emmanuel Kent and Gabrielle Kent; great grandson Malaki Kent; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
