It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Vincent on Jan. 23, 2015.
Born in Bras d'Or he was the son of the late William and Annie Bridget (Marsh) Harrietha.
Dan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Survived by his loving wife Sylvia, son Daniel (Bren), daughters, Laura (John), Darlene, Nora, Lynn and Shelly, stepchildren, Amy (Joe) and Michael (Carolyn), 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, brothers, Earl, Melvin (Caroline), Barry (Lorraine) and Joseph, sisters, Rose, Lois (John) and Ann (Bill).
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Bill, grandson Billy and great-granddaughter Jordon.
Sincere gratitude is extended to Dr. Kohlsmith, Dr. Philip Smith, Dr. Ritter, Dr. Pahil, Cathy MacMillan and all the palliative care staff, VON nurses and the staff of 4 West at the Northside General.
In honouring Dan's wishes, there will be a private family visitation only. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Bras d'Or with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating.
Donations in Dan's memory may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Center, Palliative Care or a charity of choice.
