EMBERLEY, RUSSELL
The Passing of Russell George Emberley of Sheffield, NB, husband of Donna (Bagley) Emberley occurred January 26, 2015.
Born November 25, 1935 in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Joseph and Grace (Woodland) Emberley and chosen son of the late Gordon and Florence Chase of Douglas Harbour, NB.
Russell is survived by sons, Neil (Christine) Emberley and Dwight (Nancy) Emberley; daughter, Wendy (Daniel) Sanford; grandchildren, Adam (Kelly) Emberley, Jennifer (Steven) Yeomans, Jamie (Michelle) Emberley, Kyle (Emily) Emberley, and Julie (Daniel) Jaeb; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition, Russell will also be missed by two step-children, Eric (Karyn) Chase and Marjorie Chase; step-grandchildren, Charlene Carr, Shelby and Kelli Chase.
Predeceased by four sisters, Esther Cyr, Nellie Andre, Eileen Hughes, and Stella Miller all of Kingston, Ontario.
Russell was an avid woodworker, and Clock smith, he owned and operated the Loyalist Clock Company Ltd in Sheffield for twelve years. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and boating. He was an active member of the Sheffield United Church, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will take place at Oromocto Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Sheffield United Church on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Merrill Slipp officiating. Interment will be in the Sheffield United Cemetery following the service. A reception will be held at Donna’s home (1975 Rte. 105, Sheffield, NB) following the service.
