STRAND, Dana
April 21, 1986 – January 23, 2015

Dana was born April 21, 1986 and passed away January 23, 2015. She grew up in Prince Albert attended St. John’s Catholic School and Carlton Comprehensive. She worked at Budget Inn which became Holiday Inn Express and had just started at First Nations University to work towards a Social Work Degree. She was very excited about this. She loved her cats Stitch and Kalo Travelling and trip planning with her mom and later with Chad brought her great joy. Dana was very fun loving and compassionate towards those she loved and was always there for them whatever the circumstance. Dana is survived by her beloved companion Chad Kowal; her uncles Larry (Betty) Strand and Kelly (Louise) Strand; her great aunt Therese Strand also Chad’s mom Lois Kowal and his brothers and their families. She was close to many relatives on both Chad and her side plus numerous friends who will miss her. She was predeceased by her Mom Linda Strand; Chad’s Dad Bryan Kowal; her grandparents Harry and Gladys Strand and numerous friends and relatives. Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Lake Park Baptist Church on Hwy #3 North of Birch Hills with Pastor Matthew Teigrob officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to a trust fund payable to Ears for Arabella (young Prince Albert girl needing ears) at any Conexus Credit Union in Prince Albert, Birchview Nursing Home Auxiliary, Birch Hills, SK SOJ OGO or SPCA, Box 1832, Prince Albert, SK.
