MRS. THERESA GRIMARD
April 21, 1927 – January 25, 2015
Theresa Grimard (née Marchand) reunited with her husband, Lucien, up in Heaven on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her family: her four sons Denis (Peggy) Grimard, Fred (Cathy) Grimard, Richard (Wendy) Grimard and Joe (Leanne) Grimard; her three daughters Delphine (Bryan) Poole, Denise (Marcel) Olson and Simone Grimard; 27 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her brother Roy Marchand; her sister Lillian Bisson; her brothers-in-law Raymond Grimard and Bill Mindiuk; her sister-in-law Gloria Marchand as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her parents Alfred and Alexandra (née St. Denis) Marchand; her husband Lucien Grimard; her three sons Jerry, Albert and Arnold; her great-grandson Branden Parenteau; her brothers Clarence, Beverly, Alphonse, Franklin, Joseph and Sam; her sisters Marie Caron, Blanche Marchand and Rosalie Marchand in infancy. Mom was born on April 21, 1927 in Marcelin, SK. She moved to Horse Lake with her parents, then moved to help her grandpa in Mattes. This is where she met and married Dad. They started their family in 1950. From 1950 to 1963 Mom was a homemaker and dad worked hard. Their family had grown to 10 children. In 1963, Mom opened her home to many other children. In 1966 Mom and Dad moved to Prince Albert. Mom worked at the pulp mill, the coke plant and as a janitor at the Coronet Hotel. She also was a caregiver for adults through the Community Living Program until the age of 76 when she retired. Mom lived in her home until 2012 then moved to Birchview Home in Birch Hills, where she lived until her passing. Throughout her life, Mom enjoyed gardening, canning, doing puzzles, finding treasures at yard sales and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Margaret Ferchuk will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29 from St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 589 – 9 Street East by Father Tuan Doan. Interment will take place at the St. Laurent Shrine Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Birchview Home for the excellent care given to our Mother.
