MUISE, Ronald “Ron” Leo – age 70. Born July 4, 1944 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late John Leo “Bie” Muise and Elizabeth Lenore Deveau, passed away peacefully at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2015. Growing up he enjoyed playing sports, excelling in hockey and softball. He worked at several jobs, and retired as a Compliance Officer (Liquor Inspector) for the Nova Scotia Government. He sang in three groups at Saint Ambrose Cathedral, and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Cursillo movement. He enjoyed the game of Bridge and became a Regional Master at it. He had the ability to sell, organize and problem-solve. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carolyn (LeBlanc) Muise, as well as by a brother, Reginald, Yarmouth; three sisters, Betty (Don), Ottawa; Joyce and Dorothy (Ernie), both of Yarmouth. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by a nephew, Scott McIvor and a niece, Donna McIvor. Visitation took place from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, with prayers at 8:00, at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 29 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Patrick O’Meara officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
