With heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Fabian Douglas Frye, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, regret to announce his passing on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at his home.
Born in North Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margie (Olson) Frye. Fabian was a dedicated and loyal truck driver, throughout his whole life. His last job was with Tom MacDonald Trucking for over 26 years. He loved fishing, listening to music and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Fabian is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Elaine Frances (Clarke) and his children, two daughters, Wendy Bonnar, Little Pond, Alicia Ann Frye, North Sydney, his beloved son Fabian Clarke Frye, Dartmouth, his two handsome grandsons, whom he cherished, Brandon and Dylan Bonnar, Little Pond. He is also survived by his sister Diana (Dennis) Wilcox, Florida, and brother Thomas Frye, Sarnia, Ont., sister-in-law Tonya (Mitch) Cormier, North Sydney, brothers-in-law, Terry, Henry and Craig Clarke, all of North Sydney, and will be deeply missed by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Besides his parents, Fabian was predeceased by an infant sister Katherine Frye, nephew Damian Block-Anderson, mother and father-in-law Frances and Elizabeth (Jessome) Clarke, brother-in-law David Wayne Clarke and sister-in-law Elizabeth Anne Clarke.
Visitation for Fabian will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jake Andrea officiating with burial at a later date.
