It is with deep sadness that the family of Olga B. Coombs of Shoal Cove West announces her passing on Nov. 30, 2014 at the age of 61 years at Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony. Left with very fond memories are husband Melvin; son Lars, his wife Thelma and grandchildren Bo and Reid; sisters Vivian (Stedman), Rowena (Cosmo), Elizabeth (Archibald), Bessie (Stew), Belinda (Stephen) and Lavenia; brothers Lambert (Iris) and Isreal (Kathleen); sister-in-law Ruby; brother-in-law Angus, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Eva and Lambert Coombs, brothers Leslie and Wilfred Coombs and sister Mamie Coombs. Visitation was held at Mount St. Margaret in Reef’s Harbour from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4 with Rev. Harold Harvey and layperson Bernice Baines officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
