At the Provincial Palliative Care Unit, Charlottetown, the passing of Reg A. Leyte, age 71, of South Pinette, devoted husband of the late Elizabeth (MacKenzie) Leyte, occurred on Monday, February 2, 2015, with family by his side.
Born September 19, 1943, in Sydney, N.S., he was the son of the late Walter and Amelia (Melbourne) Leyte.
Reg is survived by his loving children, Trevor (Lisa) Leyte, Cheryl (Glen) MacLeod, Joey (Nancy) Affleck, Melanie (Tom) Heckbert; cherished Poppa/Grampy to Amanda (Ryan), Kyle (Amanda), Dwayne (Tammy), Rick (Lisa), Megan (Gene), Billy, Laura, Chris, Mackenzie (Brad), Matthew, Leonard, Andrew, Amry; adored great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kade, Aivah, Liam, Ariana; brothers and sisters, Roberta Gale, Willina Moore, Gordon (Elaine), Rollie (Marguerite); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friend, Marie.
Reg was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Fred, Joe, Bill, Eliza, Elsie, Betty and Thelma.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with visitation on Friday, February 6, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church, Belfast, on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1 p.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery.
