CLARK, Justin Grant - Age 23, of Newport Corner, Hants Co., passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 29, 2015 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born on October 6, 1991, he is survived by parents, Tony and Patricia "Trish" (Sanford) Clark; sisters, Jessica (Drew Blair) and Ashley (Pier-Yves Gravel); special "Little Man", Aiden; grandparents, Grant and Eileen Sanford; many special aunts, uncles and cousins; also his friends, too many to count, and especially "the boys". Justin was a kind, caring and wonderful young man, once you met him you never forgot him. He had a passion for helping others and did so whenever the opportunity arose. He was always ready with advice, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He will be sadly missed by his loving sisters who always looked up to him, he was the youngest but often acted like the oldest, he will forever remain their hero. He was a proud member of Newport 4-H Club, a Minor Hockey Level Two Referee, West Hants Minor Hockey player age 6 to 17, an Avon View football player, a Bedford Blues Bantam Hockey Coach and Co-Prime Minister of Avon View High School. He was the recipient of the prestigious "Garfield Weston Scholarship" for leadership, academic excellence and community involvement. After graduating from Business Administration at NSCC, Justin was planning to attend Memorial University in Newfoundland to study Social Work in September 2015. Arrangements were entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, February 3. A funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 4 in Windsor United Church, Windsor, Rev. Bill Gibson officiated. Interment was held Sandy Land Cemetery, Cogmagun. Donations in memory of Justin may be made to the West Hants Minor Hockey Association or Avon View High School Education Fund/ Football team (cheques made payable to AVRSB – Avon View High School).
