The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor, with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 of Kenneth Chaisson of Bear River, in his 86th year.
Beloved husband of 59 years to Mary Ellen (nee Gallant). Loving father of Bev (MacIntyre), Daniel(Marjorie), Father Gerard, Janice (Reid) Burke, Judy(Kevin) MacDonald, Cynthia (Mitchell) MacAulay, Teresa (Paul) Pound, Jackie (Dwayne Gillis), and Lori (Mark) MacGregor. Survived by sister, Katie Dagle, and sisters-in-law, Gertie, Mary, Pat and Susan Chaisson. Fondly remembered by his 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents, Pete Simon and Mary (MacIsaac); brothers and sisters, Joseph (Margaret), John, Margaret (Clifford) Peters, Bill, Annie (Jimmy White, Leonard MacDonald), Peter, Roddie (Mary Ann), Emmett, Gen (Earl) Muttart, and brother-in-law, Sam Dagle.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday morning until time of funeral. Funeral to be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment to St. Alexis Cemetery in Rollo Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Alexis Cemetery Fund, Birthright P.E.I., or Colville Manor Activity Fund would be appreciated.
