It is with great sadness that we, the family of John Shebib announce his peaceful passing at St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto, Ont., following a lengthy battle with cancer.
His nephew, Darrell Downey was at his side.
John was born in North Sydney, son of the late Joseph & Jean Shebib.
John will be sadly missed by his brother, Lawrence (Cora) and sisters, Joan Shebib and Marie (Michael) Penny. He will be greatly missed by his niece, Ann Marie Glover and his nephew, Darrell Downey, with whom he experienced a special relationship.
John is also survived by his wife, Julie Tepsa, residing in an Ontario nursing home.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by brothers, Gerald and Francis.
In response to his wishes, John has been cremated.
A Mass of Rembrance will be celebrated on Wednesday Feb. 11th at 6:30 p.m. with Fr. Patrick O'Neill officiating.
We are truly grateful for the care and understanding John received while a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital.
