Passed away peacefully at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on the 30th of January 2015, Mrs. Blanche Effie Burt of St. Anthony in her 93rd year. Blanche leaves to mourn her loss, her daughter Marilyn; grandchildren Christopher and Heidi; special nephew/niece Roland and Effie; special niece/ husband Gloria and Doug; special nephew/ wife Vince and Jessie; brother-in-law Cecil Burt; special friends Evelyn Walker and Vera Colbourne. She is predeceased by her husband Reuben, son-in-law Tony, parents William and Susan Coates, brothers Nathaniel Coates, John Thomas Coates, William Coates, Gordon Coates, Thomas Coates and Philip Coates, sisters Alice Mitchelmore, Rebecca Diamond, Lorie Parrill, Margaret Coates, Mary Elizabeth Caines, Eliza McLean, Sarah Jane Gibbons and Amy McLean, in-laws James and Winnifred Burt, sisters-in-laws Minnie Compton and Mary Ann Patey. Visitation was held at the Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony, after which the funeral service took place at the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 4 with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
