PICTOU LANDING – Ross Henry Hayden, age 90, of Pictou Landing, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Woodburn, he was a son of the late James and Pearl (Russell) Hayden.
He was a retired school bus driver having previously worked for C.P. Smith Company Ltd. and Trenton Works. He was affiliated with Bethel Presbyterian Church, Pictou Landing. He was a member of the Westville Heritage Group, 55 Plus Club and was an avid bowler and card player.
He is survived by a sister, Lillian Stroud, Valley View Villa; brother, James (Beverly), Woodburn; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Henrietta “Etta” (Christie); brothers, Fulton and Lloyd; sisters, Irene and Bessie.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A public graveside service will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou Landing, at a later date.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital ICU, Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit, Bethel Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice.
