It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Melissa MacInnis on Feb. 2, 2015, at the Halifax Infirmary, Halifax.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Roddie and Virginia MacLeod, Glace Bay.
Melissa is survived by her children, Ashley Bussey (Liam) Calgary, Roy William Bussey, Halifax, and Kayla Bussey, Sydney; her aunt Peggy, as well as many family members and friends who cared for her.
She will be missed by her children whom she loved very much.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and the Palliative Care Unit at the hospital for their compassionate care and understanding during her illness.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
