SMITH, STANLEY GEORGE
1927 - 2015
Riverview, NB - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stanley George Smith peacefully at Lakeview Manor, Riverview, on Feb. 7, 2015 with his two daughters at his side. He was 87 years old.

Prior to his residency there and at the Moncton City Hospital he resided for 54 years on Canterbury Ave. Riverview.

Born in Moncton, N. B. he was the only son of the late William Henry Philip and Agnes (Moon) Smith formerly of England.

From the time Stan was 16 years old in 1943 he was employed with the CNR and proudly worked for 43 years at the shops on Barker St. Moncton until his retirement from there in 1986. He was a man who always had to have a job on the go, doing odd jobs for family, friends, neighbors anyone who needed anything done “Stan the Man” was there. He was a jack of all trades and no job was too big or small. He lived to work and in his last years was still “on the job” supervising.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Annie Allouise (Atkinson) formerly of Pugwash, N.S. His two daughters Beverley (Jean-Guy) LeBlanc and Kimberley, 3 Granddaughters Nicole (Isaac) Carter, Candace MacDonald, and Krystal (Shane) Moore, 3 great grandchildren Alexys, Xander and Amanda all of Riverview. Two sisters Doris Osborn, England and Margaret Sanchioni, Ontario. Two brothers in law, three sisters in law and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven brothers in law, five sisters in law and one nephew.

He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him but will never be forgotten.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the 5100 block of the Moncton Hospital and Lakeview Manor for their kind and loving care during Stan’s time with them. Special thanks to Lakeview Manor for making the last few days as comfortable as you did for Stan and his family.

Friends and Family are invited to a visitation to share memories of Stanley at Fair Hair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
