1925 - 2015
Dorina Léger, 89, passed away on Tuesday February 10, 2015 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born on May 9, 1925 in Saint-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Trefflé and Emilie (Richard) Richard.
Prior to her retirement in 1989, Dorina worked for the Université de Moncton at the Librairie Acadienne.
She is survived by her husband, Gérald Léger; four daughters: Patricia Poirier (late Paul) and Kathleen Arsenault (late Roland), both of Moncton, Janice Aucoin (late Albert) of Bedford, NS, and Lina Léger (Claudette Foster) of Forestville, QC; four sons: Vincent (late Linda) and Normand, both of Moncton, Bernard of Jasper, AB, and Daniel (Diane) of Charlo; three step-daughters: Jackie LeBlanc (Nicky) and Charlene Ross (Bill), both of Moncton, and Denise Arsenault (Ron) of Dieppe; one sister, Marie Gendron of Rivière-du-Loup, QC; she was loved by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Yvon (1994); her sisters and brothers: Yvonne, Philomène, Alma, Elodie, Rosalie, Livain, Urbain and Emile.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of McNair Manor and the Villa du Repos for their excellent care provided to Dorina. Your kindness and compassion were exceptional and will never be forgotten.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:30 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 pm and Saturday from 10:30 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
