Aged 81 years, passed peacefully away on February 11th, 2015 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, NL. Born on June 17th, 1933 in Lamaline, NL. Preceded by her parents Henry and Dinah King of Long Pond-Manuels, NL and also by her younger brother, Fred King. Leaving to mourn a younger sister, Emily Young of Dunville, Placentia Bay. Also preceded by her first husband, Patrick Cochrane and left to mourn are their, 6 children: Mary (Brendan) Aucoin of Woodstock, ON; Patricia (Peter) Walsh of Southern Harbour, NL; Wayne (Heather) Cochrane of Cambridge, ON; Linda (Patrick) Follett of Goose Bay, NL; Anthony (Louise) Cochrane of Burlington, ON and Gerard (Cindy) Cochrane of Holyrood, NL. Also preceded by her second husband, Moses Fraize. Leaving to mourn stepson, Tom (Maureen) Fraize. Lovingly remembered by a large circle of other relatives including nieces, nephews, 16 grand-children, 14 great-grandchildren, good family friend, Ruby Leblanc, Paradise, NL and her cousin Caroline (Salis) Gibbons. Special Thanks to the care-workers at Cradea Manor, Topsail Road, where she resided for four and one-half years and for treating her like a family member, not just a resident; Special Thanks to GoBus Drivers, Dispatch and Management for their dedication in transporting her to her many daily activities and events. Ivy was well-known for her many contributions to the community and for her volunteer services. She played an active role in her parish where she received an award for her dedication and service to the Parish in 2011. She also volunteered with the City of St. John's Seniors Citizens for many years and was voted Volunteer of the Year. Visitations will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Friday, February 13th from 2 - 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at St. Teresa's Parish, Mundy Pond Road on Saturday, February 14th at 1 pm. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery on Blackmarsh Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Janeway Children's Hospital.
