(Originally from Lisbon Portugal) Passed peacefully away at the St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Tuesday, February 10th 2015. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. His family is grateful for the excellent care that he received from the nurses and staff of the fourth floor east. Tony was an amazing friend, father and companion who will be fondly remembered. The family would like to thank all of the people, communities and associations that were a part of his life and accepted him into their lives. Particularly his former colleagues at Newfoundland Power and his recent friends from the seniors social groups. He is predeceased by his parents António da Silva and Edite Marques da Silva, brother Jorge (Maria Augusta), sisters Giguio (Hernani), Odete (Humberto) and his companion Rosalee Scott. He leaves behind his two sons Dylan (Christine) and Robin (Lara), his sister (Milau), his nieces and nephews and his companion Dorothy Budgell. A big thank you to Elizabeth, Perry, Maria and the Budgell family for their help during this difficult time. A wake will be held at Tony's request at Caul's Funeral Home on LeMarchant Road on Saturday, February 14, 2015 between 1:00-7:00 pm.
