Passed peacefully away at Masonic Park Nursing Home on February 11, 2015, Marjorie Grandy, age 81. Predeceased by her husband Lester in 1998; sister Mary Greening; birth parents Edmund and Pearl Lambert of Hatchet Cove; and her adoptive parents Abigail and David Benson. Leaving to mourn her daughter Christine Grandy, and her children Cavelle, Raymond and Linda; her son David (Louise), and their daughter Melanie; brother-in-law Joe Grandy and his daughters Carol Ann and Angela; as well as other relatives and friends. A very sincere thank you to the doctors and staff of Masonic Park Nursing Home. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Barrett's Mount Pearl Chapel. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
