MCKNIGHT, JOHN ANDREW
John passed away February 12th, 2015 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 61.

He is survived by his son, Mark, of Fredericton; stepson, Ben, of Toronto, ON; brothers, Norm (Judy) of Fredericton and Don (Micheline) of Sept-Iles, QC; nephews, Mike (Brigette) of Fredericton, Tim of Fredericton, Renaud (Paloma) of Seattle, USA and Arel (Marie-Pierre) of Sept-Iles, QC.

He was the son of Tom and Kay McKnight.

John was born and educated in Fredericton. Upon graduation from UNB he was employed by McKays Dairy as an inventory manager. John subsequently moved to Alberta and was employed by IBM who later moved him to Toronto.

He left IBM to start his own business with brother Norm and opened Eastern Canada's first M&M Meat Shop franchise 22 years ago.

John enjoyed golf, table tennis, canoeing, cards and all his time with the "boys in the band"- Peter, Mike, Tommy and Pat, his good friends for over 40 years.

His family wishes to thank Dr. Collins and all the staff at the ICU at the DECH for the excellent care of John.

John has been cremated as was his wish. There will be no funeral service. There will be a wake for family and friends at the Fredericton City Club, Hanwell Road, on Tuesday, February 17th from 2 to 6 pm. Online condolences can be made at www.mcadamsfh.com, 458-9170.
